Because of its excellent forming and welding characteristics, the stainless steel 316L round bar is widely used. This material can be easily brittled or rolled into a variety of shapes for use in industrial, architectural, and transportation settings. Thin section welding does not necessitate any additional annealing after the weld has been completed. Steel of grade 316L is a low-carbon alloy that is resistant to sensitization and oxidation (grain boundary carbide precipitation).
