DESCRIPTION

Due to the titanium stabilisation, Alloy 304L Square Bars are resistant to pitting and intergranular attack during fabrication and particularly welding, which necessitates heating to critical sensitization temperatures. They exhibit excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive environments, including stress-corrosion cracking, reducing and oxidising environments, pitting and crevice corrosion, as a result of the composition of SS 304L Square Bars. Alloy steel square bars, such as AISI 304L, are the precursor to a large number of Molybdenum-containing nickel iron-chromium alloys that have been in use for more than one hundred years.

Type 304L Square Bars also have high molybdenum and copper content, which makes them exceptionally resistant to reducing environments such as those that contain sulphuric and phosphoric acids. While 304L Stainless SS Square Bars are not completely resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in boiling magnesium chloride, they are extremely resistant in neutral chloride media. Additionally, Stainless Steel UNS S30403 Square Bars exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion in neutral chloride media, stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion when used in structural applications
