Stress-corrosion cracking is prevented in these Type 303 Hex Bars because of their outstanding resistance to both reducing and oxidising acids, such as sulfuric and phosphoric acids, which are used in their manufacture. Because of the high chromium and molybdenum content in these AISI 303 Hex Bars, they are resistant to chloride pitting as well as a wide range of oxidising environments.

Chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking is prevented by using our 303 stainless steel hexagon bar, which contains an adequate amount of steel to do so. In addition to oil and gas applications, pickling components, and chemical processing, these UNS S30300 Stainless Steel Hex Bars are also commonly used in the food processing industry. Resistance welding processes, shielded metal arc processes with alloy welding electrode 135, gas shielded arc processes with alloy filler metal 65, and shielded metal arc processes with alloy welding electrode 303 are all options for joining our SUS 303 hexagon bars.
